“So the basic meaning of the word euggelistes is:
– someone who brings good news
– preacher of the gospel
– evangelist”
(Body Builder)

  1. Investors

”The investor sees evangelism as walking with people through the entire process of conversion, from the beginning of their friendship all the way through conversion and beyond…. Because they are willing to devote lots of their own time, energy and emotion in other people, they typically go deep with a few people rather than spreading themselves out with a lot of people.” – The Permanent Revolution

  1. Inviters

”Inviters woo others to accompany them into strategic environments that allow them greater exposure to Jesus… In this way, inviters are quite catalytic: they bring people and the gospel together by arranging strategic encounters between people and events designed to present the gospel in meaningful ways… Because they know how to attract people, they also intuitively know what can potentially repel people.” – The Permanent Revolution

  1. Convincers

”Convincers are particularly adept at making persuasive and compelling presentations of the gospel. They have confidence in the gospel and champion its power to change people. They are energized by the task of persuading and convincing others of their point of view. They find great satisfaction in debunking false notion of the gospel, effectively removing the cultural stigma that is often attached to Jesus and the church.” – The Permanent Revolution

  1. Conversers

”Some people need to be exposed gradually to the message in ways that allow them to process  and internalize its meaning and significance for their lives. Conversers are especially equipped for this because, like investors, they are more comfortable with helping someone discover the meaning of the gospel in an incremental fashion… They are often good at asking questions and listening, and they prefer to let the needs and interest of the other person decide what particular feature of the gospel they will emphasize or introduce into the conversation.

ANDRA RÖSTER OM EVANGELISTEN

“Evangelistic leaders declare and demonstrate the gospel in word and deed to bring people to conviction, conversion, and commitment to Christ. Evangelists are messengers and recruiters who challenge others to think in new ways and commit to new things. They impart their love for the lost, their boldness in the message, and their courage to take risks in demonstrating the gospel. Evangelists connect people to the unreached world.” – Michael Brodeur, Revival Culture

“The evangelists anointing causes him or her to focus on the souls who do not yet know Jesus as the primary concern and motivation for ministry. And realistically, unless the ministry of the Church is reaching those who don’t yet know the Lord, the function of the rest of the anointings is fairly pointless.” – Danny Silk, Culture of honor

Jesus var evangelist.
Evangelisten återspeglar Jesu evangelisttjänst i församlingen.
Vad skulle vi göra utan evangelisten?
